Review: A Breath of Evil by Jess Thomas

“ I think when you read a book immerse yourself in its world. The characters, the plot, the dialogue and sometimes even the setting aren't stark since you have a good imagination you can see it. You feel for the characters in the book, and they become family whether you like them or hate them.”

Jess Thomas weaves a tale of science fiction and fantasy was Darius and his family are the main characters in an interplanetary take of good versus evil that is intertwined in time, space, love, and hate. This twist of the traditional good versus evil plot takes you a step further into the inter-relational dynamics that has us questioning how much are you willing to give up to save a member of your family? Who decides whether in the magic inside of you is good or evil?
Mrs. Thomas's tale knocked me off my feet with the easy dynamic writing style and I will be reading the first fourteen books in this series to see where the characters were in the story-line prior to this book. This story will pull you in and takes you beyond what you know of science fiction and fantasy into a romance, inspirational state that makes you see there is far more to this book than the cover art that you can sometimes find especially in books with multiple parts of a series. I am excited to see where Darius will go from here, and how is abilities will grow. If you are looking for a new type of book this is where you should go.
