Review: Who is Jeb? by Patrick Ardendall

Who is Jeb?
Jeb Bush the good son- he could sing the good song, if only he had the soul. Jeb the moderate, the sensible conservative. a competent governor, business builder, self-deemed wonk, establishment darling. How has this mirage been rigged? What well-oiled machinist have orchestrated such delusions? Just drill a little deeper. uncap the well. expose the pent-up secrets and witness a ground-shaking blowout. With hindsight, we can now see that even a modicum of due diligence into his brother's DNA would have allowed a picture of what was written. The answers lie in the family's long-standing histories.

Patrick Ardendall tackled the question of Who is Jeb in a short 318 pages of showing us that there is far more about the Bush family then that has ever been seen through other mediums. He takes the time to point out that Jeb is made up not only by the choices he made but also by the choices of his family as far back as his grandfather that led not only to his governorship but also his run for the presidency. His families far reach in politics allowed him to not only learn how to keep his secrets closet to his chest but allow him the influence and backing to allow him to make a run for his Presidency.

I found the overall writing very good. I only main thing I found quite disturbing was the jumping around of all the facts from one person to another, with no clear goal other than to fit as much information as possible into the book. The introduction is very clearly written and makes you want to learn more but after you get into the book who have a hard time following his train of thought because he has so many and the person he is speaking of changes so quickly you have to reread the sentence several times to find out whom he is speaking.
