Seth Kesler is thrilled to discover that the defunct C-U Journal is making a comeback. He loves the paper and he believes that it is everyone's civic duty to read it. Something is deeply off about the publication in Champagne-Urbana, starting with the newspaperman who sells them downtown for a dime apiece. Seth delight turns to dismay when he sees bizarre stories printed as fact and shady things happening at the newspaper's office. He makes it his goal to put a stop the whole shady deal, even though it means battling news titan Richards W. Fields.
This horror mystery pulls you in from page one and leads one a tale of mystery and horror that you can not put down until the end. This new David versus Goliath story leaves nothing to chance as Sal Nudo writes in a way that you have to know what happens next. He has an easy writing style that at times can drag because some of the scene's are entirely too short for much detail and the changing a views points without a lead-up. Example of this is when he will be talking about Seth in the third person then go to the first person when Seth is speaking to others. This can be disheartening but if you take your time you can breeze through these hiccups and still find enjoyment.
