Review: Fyra by Sunny Nicolette

Sunny Nicolette weaves a tale of young adult, fantasy and intrigue of Reed Stryker a young man who is one a single car accident changes everything in his life. He goes from being a survivor of a greedy uncle, caretaker of a little brother and left with nothing from his father after the death of his mother to an adventure that takes place one hundred and seventy-five years in the future. Reed wakes up from the coma to learn to take he was saved for this future and everyone he knows and loves is dead and gone. Reed is not just anyone he is he is special he is a Savant and he is found himself in the body of Cane and with a little sister he was not prepared for, training to be a soldier in a war to defend the people from the Draconic and that nothing on growing up on the Ranch in Texas prepared him for.
This sci-fantasy tale has more twist and turns than a roller coaster. Yet, it is a ride you do not want to get off of. I did find parts to be slow at the start but if you stick it out it unfolds beautifully and leaves you breathless. You will want to smack Reed more than a few times in this tale but that is what makes him such a relate-able character because everyone knows a Reed and you find yourself pulling for him to have the future he wants and deserves. Sunny does break up the writing well and stays in the third person throughout the book which is a big plus for me because I have found that not all author have that ability when you have a large group of characters and a complex story-line. This is a young adult book that does not mean it does not have a great tale it just means that it appropriate for adults and young adults so don't think it is too young for you to enjoy. I found it quite appealing. I would recommend this for people who enjoyed Hunger Games, Divergent and Giver series. This is is gonna be one of those that you will want to read again and again.
