Review: Bosnian Phoenix by Milijian Peter Ilich

“The Bosnia story will be meaningful to people in other companies since, with increased globalization, the entire world is fast becoming one huge, complex, multi-ethnic society.”

The Bosnia Phoenix goes way beyond just the history of Bosnia and it's individual region. The history of Bosnia is the tale of the Baltic states, Europe and by definition the world. Milijian Peter Ilich introduces you to a history that is hard to find. This little country in the Baltic states history is so woven into all of our pasts beyond just a single war that occurred in the Nineteen Nineties but as far back as Roman times and the destruction of Greece. The original Illyrians society that has left a large fingerprint in not only Baltic History but throughout Rome. The small area of the world has touched us all and shown us how their truly multiple ethnic societies have shown us all how to truly live in a go existing society as long as it holds to the multi-ethnic truth.
I found some of the most incredible truths in this book and how Milijian points out that elimination one kind of religious freedom can easily lead to an end of every kind of liberty, and how all liberties are truly interconnected beyond just the service.  Mr. Milijian had some very impressive research of the Baltic Area with an extensive list of resources from all over Europe, Asia and America.  He does list his resources in the back of his history which allows the reader to also dig into this history and learn more. To be honest I was a little shaken by the title at first but in the end, it is most fitting.
