The McTavish Regressions: Arabesque
The McTavish Regressions: Arabesque was written by Buret McTavish. This short work of fiction made up of six chapters and eighty-eight pages has a lot of bang for your buck. Past life regression specialist Dr. Wallace McTavish leads a simple life but appearances can be deceiving. Along with being a brilliant psychologist he also is starting to work on past life crimes and passions. Dr. McTavish works from his home in Brooklyn, New York. He has practices Past life regression for twenty-five years. The first thing that caught my eye was that the letter to the reader from the main character, Dr. Wallace McTavish. He introduces himself and explains about who himself is as a character. This insight that Buret McTavish gives us a glimpse of the characters heart and personality which was a bonus in the beginning of the book that lets us know who we will be reading about, much like being introduced by someone in public. Professor Genevieve Buret goes to Dr. Wallace McTavish to ask a simple thing wondering if their is a way to tie criminology and past life regression. Upon their discussion, Dr. McTavish answers Professor Buret question about regression and leaves with something she does not expect. Upon their second meeting we meet Laura Tsvetkovsky, she was born without the use of her legs and has an almost pathological fixation on dancing. She visits numerous doctors with one thing in mind, she must dance.
I found this book to be exciting and one of the few flaws was it was entirely too short. This cliffhanger makes you want more and leaves the facts and fiction both entertaining and informational. Buret McTavish brings these interesting characters to life in a unique way that wants you to sit down and get to know them better.
