Review: Out of The Dark Series: Arlene Gonzales

Out of the Dark, Alexis is fleeing a horrific tragedy after witnessing the murder of her family she leaves Seattle and relocates to New York City. Aiden Steffan just happens to be her first client and be a world-renowned male model. Even though Aiden Steffan image is everywhere is the image is everywhere. Sparks fly between Alexis and Aiden until a trip to Bahama changes everything. Alexis and Aiden's Past come to a head when the past resurfaces come to a head when the past resurfaces and he knows where and with whom Alexis is with. Arlene Gonzales does not disappoint with her steamy romance and you feel for the tragedy and pain that plague Alexis and Aiden and has you fighting for them to finally find each other in the end.

With You, Shannon goes missing, Alexis knows Frank is behind it. Alexis knows her nightmare will never end. Steffan realizes after years of abuse and living as a playboy lifestyle he is in love with Alexis. When an injury leads Alexis to the hospital Aiden finally tells her how he feels. While the search for Shannon continues to be missing, Aiden learns that Frank is closer than they think. He can warn anymore, Alexis is kidnapped and he is left behind. Alexis knows she must get away from Frank and find her way back Aiden. Arlene Gonzales continues the Alexis and Aiden tale showing us their story is not over. I was overwhelmed by how even though it is a sequel it did not take away from the story as a whole. She surprised me by how she was able to not drag the story into the ground much like other author have done by trying to take a story further than it can go.

Following The Light, Aiden's past haunts him even as he pledges his love forever to Alexis. His abuse from his past haunts him and does not allow him to open to anyone even Alexis. Someone in his past knows his secrets and wants his love for Alexis and his career is ashes. Arlene Gonzales follows up with the first two books by sharing with us Aiden's past in the follow-up book. You will cry and yell at the boy Aiden was and the man he became. You really cheer for them as a couple and you want them to have their happily ever after and you really get to the point when you wonder when they will finally have it.


Together Forever, The fourth and final book of the Out of The Dark Series. What happens when you discover the life you were living was just a dream. Alexis awakes to find the life she was living was just a dream but the words of a crazy old woman. She knew Aiden is her soul mate, now she is off to New York because Aiden must be her soul mate to feel the way she did in her dreams like it was all real. But will Aiden believe her or turn her away. Arlene ties the series up well with the final installment of the Out of The Darkness Series. I was surprised where she went with the storyline and found them reconnecting endearing. I got a kick out of her response to him as She is his future. I had to laugh. Wonderful ending to the series and it is not to be missed.
