The Octogenarian author has followed up her latest book, An Old's Lady's Confessions. The book covers tools, space, health, planning, working habits, and writing tips. She emphasizes research, writing group involvement, and the necessity of emotional support. She concludes with the meaning of success in writing, also in answering the questions about the sources of her inspiration, and she reveals several secrets.
This unique bibliography style how to is well worth the read whether you write short stories, or reports for your employer. She points out several very practical tips from taking care of yourself, staying on a schedule and have a workspace that is productive to your work to all leading to having a healthy and productive workspace. Unlike a lot of traditional how to writes the book you can tell that Reva Spiro Luxenberg is speaking from a space of experience and not speaking over you but more like pointing out the pitfalls she has experienced. I will be taking a lot of her advice to heart even though I am not a traditional writer and applying them to my design shop. One thing that stuck with me is how she said that sometimes the compartmentalizes people based on age, sex and skill set is holding more people back than their own self. She shows age is no monomer for finding your real purpose. Very inspirational book and I am excited to see what she comes up with next.
