Review: The Rhine by R.L. Dean

R.L Dean introduces us to the Earth in the future. Earth-based companies have looked to space to mine for the minerals we need. Mining from the Moon to Ganymede the UN Council has become a benevolent power that controls all the mining consortium from where they can mine, process or distribute the ore. This has caused great dispute to Mars, Moon, and Ganymede and what the future holds who holds the power the people, the UN or the Apex Mining Company and Consortium.

“ Ahh Orion, He said as re-lifted his sword and tilted his head in perfect align, then went off to fashion the King's bed” -SSD

A more perfect quote could not be found for the beginning of this tale. R.L Dean writes a tale of the ages that may start off slow with no real direction which in time does whirl itself around to a story not to be missed. I was moved to cry with Alexandria when she talks of her daughter and fights along Ludwick to protect the workers on Moon and other mining camps, all he really wanted was nothing more for them to be safe when they did there work. His writing style and surprises with who is really the villain in his tale because he writes in a way that allows you to have surprises as the plot thickens and you find that there are many times a story in a story and are happy to see that this is not the end. I would highly recommend this read to anyone who enjoys sci-fi but this tale would also be great for the political thriller fan also.
