Lady Jane knew not to count on her looks to land a husband, without a dowry she knew she would have little to no luck finding one. When she is summoned back to London by her sick mother, she knew she had to go. When a proposition of marriage is received from an Earl she has never met she agrees to meet him and at least get to know the man who wants to marry her. Lord Edward had no need for a wife and is only seeking one because of a clause in his father's will. Adamant that his marriage is in name only he sends his best friend to London to find the most unmarriageable lady in all of London. The beauty that his friend returns with to his country estate must go. Edward just knows that is he does not get rid of her that he would fall in love with a beauty that could never love him a Beastly Earl.
This adorably sweet retake on Beauty and The Beast is a reminder that love and people are far more than skin deep. I truly enjoyed the story and was truly surprised how much I enjoyed the remake of the classic story.
